This is my THIRD review for Steve, yes THIRD. That alone should tell you, this is the guy you want to work with! Steve and I have known each other for 22 years. We worked together (or should I say, more accurately, I worked for him) for the better part of 7 years. We remained friends through the years and kept in touch because that's what you do with a person of high integrity and trustworthiness. Here's a tip... keep this guy in your life, you never know when you might need him. Steve navigated us through a difficult short sale some years ago (my first review), and was our agent for the home we purchased 3 years ago (my second review). Both of those experiences were, to say the least, exceptional in all aspects. So, when it was time to sell again, as I've stated in past reviews, I only made one phone call. My employer is moving me out of State to open new sales territory so we knew we were going to sell summer 2020. However, COVID-19 hit and things changed. Weighing my options and with some counsel from Steve, my wife and I decided we should put the house on the market immediately because who knows what's going to happen in the next few months. That turned out to be one of the best decisions I've ever made. With no hesitation, Steve got the ball rolling fast...and I mean FAST! He had the photographer come out within two days to take professional pictures and high def videos. Keep in mind folks, this is the middle of March 2020 when the stay at home orders were just about going into effect. The pics and videos were amazing! They were professionally edited and put together into an incredible 3-D virtual tour of our home. I can't tell you how important this was to the sale of our home. Once everything was ready to go, we listed our house on March 26th at 1:50pm. WE HAD 2 OFFERS, SIGHT UNSEEN, OVER ASKING PRICE, BY 6:30pm THAT EVENING! Are you kidding me? Our house was sold, over asking price, in 4 1/2 hours, during a pandemic! The virtual tour was the KEY to selling our house. The buyer was out of State and moving here due to job transfer. We were even able to work out a "rent back" to the buyer as they were not moving until the end of May, which gave us plenty of time to close on the new home we were buying out of State. I can't say enough about Steve. Seriously I could write a book about who he is and what he can do. As a first-time home buyer, I was hesitant (and honestly, a little scared) to dive in to the whole process. With the guidance of several previous & very pleased home buyers, I was referred to Steve Hiatt, with the help of Jamie Richeson. Let me say that I could not believe how fast my worries were put at ease. Right from the start, I don't think a day went by without my wife and I calling/texting/emailing with endless questions. With that being said, at no point from beginning-to-end was I made to feel that I was an annoyance. Every question was answered with honest care and attention to detail, not to mention taking my calls both late at night, and early mornings. Even with my lack of knowledge creating an over-abundance of information seeking, we were still provided with constant updates and information in between. As cliche as it sounds, we felt as though we really had been taken under wings and guided through it all, while still being allowed flexibility and attention to our wants & needs. I would also like to add, the market/area we purchased in is extremely competitive, and it required quick work to nail the purchase down. While we had been overly-picky throughout our initial search, when we found "the one", it only took 1 text, and we were on-site viewing the home with Steve within an hour! A few hours later, the home already had multiple very aggressive offers. Although, with proper care and guidance, my family and I were pleasantly surprised to be able to sit back and leave the grind-work out of our hands. Before we knew it, our offer was accepted and we were on our way! Through this process, there WERE a few hiccups, *to no-fault, and all outside of the control of Team Hiatt*. I just wanted to include this in the review, as this is where Steve and his team really shined. I was immediately notified of all & any snags, nothing was hidden to try and "keep us calm", and it was truly awesome to watch these issues get tackled. As a car/racing advocate, I can't help but compare it to a well executed pit-stop! As quickly as concerns came up, they were again settled just as fast. I could talk all day about how excited we are to be in our new home, but can end short by saying, none of this would be possible without Steve's AWESOME service. One of the most professional, honest, down to earth, family-oriented guys I have ever met. Whether this is your 1st or 10th time on the hunt for a new residence, do yourself a favor; Call Steve before you do anything, and let his professionalism speak for itself.
